Hammontree & Associates, Limited provides Marcellus and Utica Shale Gas Well Support Services including: gas line staking, surveying, preparation of easements, and lease plat descriptions, GIS preliminary well spacing/planning, geotechnical slope stability, environmental permitting, erosion and sedimentation control plans, wetland delineations and permitting, stream crossing and wetland clearance permitting, endangered and sensitive species protection reports and permits, road bonding applications, complete ODOT design prequalification for highway and bridge design inspections.

H &A was on the design team for this new Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) Bus Transfer Station in Belden Village, Canton, Ohio. The project was designed, permitted and constructed in less than 10 months and included 47 Street widening and traffic signal improvements. This project is submitted for LEED silver certification.

Hammontree & Associates, Limited was hired by the Stark County Transportation Improvement District (SCTID) to design safety upgrades for the intersection of U.S. 62 and Paris Avenue (County Road 44) in Nimishellen Township. This intersection was identified on ODOT’S High Crash Location Identification System (HCLIS) in 2005.

The H & A team designed the layout of a new traffic signal and optimized timing based on projected traffic data. Several other safety enhancements included: updated signage, markings, and edge line rumble strips through the intersection. H & A also performed a topographic survey for this project.

Hammontree & Associates, Limited's Fulton Road and Park Drive project has received an Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio. The project included reconstruction and signalization of this major intersection in the city which provides direct access to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, city parks, and I 77. This project had to meet strict funding limits and construction times which were successfully accomplished. H & A was commissioned by the City of Canton and in coorperation with ODOT District 4 for these intersection improvements.

Phil Morrison, Environmental Scientist and Wetland Specialist spends time in the H & A lab testing samples from a stream in Pennsylvania. In this Macroinvertebrate survey, the abundance of macroinvertebrates belonging to the orders of Ephemeroptere, Plecoptera, and Trichopterea consitute the EPT index of a stream. Since these orders of macroinvertebrates are highly sensitive to pollution, they are often used as water quality indicators.
